Pure Michigan Business Connect (PMBC) and People First Economy have partnered to promote and advance sustainability throughout Michigan’s business community. Michigan businesses of all sizes and from any industry are encouraged to participate in this partnership by entering the Good For Michigan Program.
This program is provided at no cost to participants and helps businesses identify, measure, and guide the implementation of practices that create positive impacts.
Woodlands Job Development will work with employers to fill/create employment opportunities at companies in the community. We will match client skills with what is needed by the employer.
We can provide job coaching to ensure proper training at no additional cost to the employer. We will continue to check in with the client and employer to meet any needs associated with employment.

We see opportunities when we build connections between job seekers looking to grow their careers and employers seeking quality candidates with the job skills needed. We look at the big picture, watching employment trends and working with our community partners to make sure connections are made between employers, educators, trainers, and employees.

MiLEAP navigators will help you with support services, set career goals, identify relevant education and training opportunities, and complete requirements for college admissions and financial aid.
Local SCORE mentors provide clients with free, confidential, in-depth access to experienced business leaders and access to a nationwide network of SCORE mentors. We can help you start a business, grow a business, and handle challenges along the way. While SCORE is known for helping would-be entrepreneurs, our mentors also provide advice to established businesses.
Cass County Economic Development
The Economic Development efforts focus on existing business, expanding that business and attracting new business to the county. We also provide support for entrepreneurial opportunities by businesses locating in the Inovateus Center with mentoring opportunities. The Cass County Economic Development Corporation is ready, willing and able to help you and your businesses.
The Village of Cassopolis serves as the County Seat for Cass County and is home to the majority of the County offices, the County Courthouse, and the County Fairgrounds. Situated about 35 miles northeast of South Bend it’s part of the South Bend Metropolitan Statistical Area (also known as Michiana) for census purposes.
Cassopolis is experiencing revitalization as a result of the Main Street Project.
Cassopolis Main Street works closely with the Village of Cassopolis to spark excitement, cultivate community, support local businesses, and increase traffic to and awareness of the Cassopolis area through engaging community events and philanthropy. The Cass/Van Chamber of Commerce is strongly supportive and involved in Cassopolis Main Street.
The Village of Vandalia has historical significance for Cass County as it was a popular way station for slaves escaping to the north during the mid-1800’s. Today it is the sight of the Underground Railroad Days Festival held in July. It is also known for its pristine lakes, State Parks, and recreational opportunities like the Swiss Valley Ski and Snowboard Area.
