For Immediate Release – May 9, 2023 – EQ Systems to hire CTE intern, Trevor Black, after graduation.

CTE internship offers a path to a good future.

EQ Systems to hire CTE InternEQ Systems is a division of EQ United, a leader in the manufacturing of components for RVs, trailers, and specialty markets, as well as custom wire harnesses and battery cables. EQ Systems participated in the CTE program with Trevor Black from Constantine High School, which turned out to be a great internship and work-based learning opportunity.

“We brought Trevor on through the Constantine High School CTE program.  He had been taking welding classes at high school and wanted to be put into the Fabrication department, focusing specifically on welding. Trevor is bright, has a strong work ethic, and has shown up every day ready to learn and grow. Trevor has been honing his skills and is becoming a great welder, along with fitting in as part of the team and our EQ family. We have extended an offer for him to become a full-time EQ Systems employee upon his graduation. Everyone is excited to have him as a permanent part of our team.”  Jason Loose, COO, EQ United.

The CTE program is an exceptionally good thing for high school students. It gives them real-life experience before they graduate. We also like it because students are very eager to learn, and sometimes we get a great fit like Trevor, that becomes a full-time employee.

Trevor plans to work at EQ Systems as a welder and continue towards taking the CWI exams and becoming a ‘Certified Welding Inspector.’ In Trevor’s free time, he enjoys hunting and fishing. Trevor also played football and baseball all through high school.

“My experience while interning at EQ Systems has been amazing. They have taught me a lot about what it’s like to work in a factory and how to be fast and efficient with production. I was accepted by the whole company and was able to fit right in on the very first day I started working at EQ Systems. I had the chance to go down to Indianapolis for the PRI show and was able to see a trailer on display with EQ’s products on it, with my fellow welders. We also saw some amazing industry items and vehicles. I am extremely excited to be coming on as a full-time welder.”  Trevor Black, Welder, EQ Systems.
